Hi ,
I have a question regarding OPT. Is it possible to apply for OPT extension after h1B approval/disapproval notice? If  not selected for h1b,can I apply for OPT extension? my OPT expires on June 29,2009. It is also true that  17 months OPT extension is given only one time for f1 student.

As far as i know, we will get OPT for only one time on each academic level. 17 month extension will be granted to those students only who have a STEM degree.

Yeah u r right,only STEM degree holder can apply for its extension. My question is can we apply for OPT extension after h1B approval/disapproval?
