I work as website developer. I have been asked to build a high volume website for a survey. We are estimating that atleast 1,000-1,200 will participate within about 2 weeks, in this survey (about 30-40 survey questions) within about 2 weeks. I have never created any surveys before. Therefore, I am looking for suggestions from some of you web gurus who have had similar kind experiences. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You should not have any problem if your database is well optimized. I think 1,000 - 1,200 in about 2 weeks is not consider a high traffic. Think about Google, Yahoo, Hotmail etc. millions of people are using it everyday....
