Where is the ugliest democracy? Democracy is never ugly.. the misuse of it by people who have the the power to bestow it and the ones that have it turn things ugly by excersing it the wrong way.. the selfish way. SO if you ask me where democracy is being misused.. what better example than Nepal? Anyone can do anything in the name of so called 'democracy' and get away with it.
"Oh, the guy hit my truck with his on the highway causing me a loss of so and so much paisa so I might as well burn his. ours is a democratic nation afteralll!!"
"We want an increment in our salaries and benefits and the authorities just wont listen to us anytime before a red hot strike. close the schools. yay to our democracy"
"Ofcourse I can use your walls to advertise principals of our political party. Whats the point of all the fight we put up for 'bringing' democracy"
"Press Freedom... so we can print a nude picture of a nepali actress in our daily. so what if she goes ahead and commits suicide? and also its less work to see the political turmoil through the eyes of the political party thats funding us. yay for less work."
I can go on and on and on with what great misuse the so called democracy of nepal has been and is being put to..but you get the gist. so ya.. its NEPAL.
