It is not just name that start with letter 'S'. If you look at any English dictionary, there are many words starting from 'S' than any other individual alphabet. There may be some co-relation or may be not.

no wonder the two weekend holidays start with S
Saturday and Sunday
and the longest holiday "Summer" start with S too!!!
