I am trying to find out more about BASEL II law for banks for their minimum required capital . I am particularly interested in F-IRB and A-IRB with regards to banks in America. I did try google and a couple of other websites, but anyone working in this field, or with idea on this topic- your help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks

I will look through the URL you provided me with. Thanks a lot- would you know where I can find info on a law thats about to be approved? I want to know the market anticipation, and the effects.

mansion, the problem is, only the largest banks in america are adopting this law, A-IRB, and I dont know if I call them- they'd be willing to expose their internal assesment standards?

i dont think the internal assestment standard is something that each individual bank gets to set by its own.

the federal reserve, or /and US govt or State govt. has to have some atleast minimal guideline as to what the assestment standard should be.

or whats that organization called, better bureau or something like that , that provides info to the citizens. all these big banks, are publicly traded companys, its not privately held, so the information is public too, the stock holder , and future investor has a right to know about all these info you're seeking, before they buy the stock .
