My friend doesn't have Sevis now because he didn't release the sevis from his last colz. He is now in new colz. So, he was told to go out of country and return back. What should he do now? Should he go to Mexico or Canada? Does anyone have any experiences like this?

better hire a lawyer , i would suggest that.They can give correct answers to your querry, or you can call them with time limitation. they may only charge you 100 dollars.

happened to one of my fren!! he was very late in releasing the sevis....and as a result he was out of state but he was enrolled at the new college...he was told to fill the re-instatement form ..pay some fine and write a letter explaining for delay...that process takes takes like couple of months imo.. and another option of leaving the country and returning back.. since he was going to nepal anyway for winter.. he chose the latter.. he came back without problem and his sevis is updated as well...
