Do you have ss number? I guess You can. GO online and check it.

You should be fine.Last year my wife filed taxes for her and me together,with me as a dependent.I only had ITIN number,i did not have SSN at that time.There was no problem and i remember we got a bigger refund than we would have gotten if she filed alone.

M lai F1 ko chaini idea bhayena,but i do know that even someone out of status can have an ITTN number and file taxes.
