Hi all, My friend has BMLT and Msc MLT in Microbiology in Nepal. He is also a green card holder. Do you have any idea of the certification for licencening to work in US in hospitals? Have any of you guys have gone through all these hectic procedures to be accredited in US? All responses are welcomed. Please share your experience and if you are working in any of these fields, I think that helps a lot. Waiting for your responses. go to http://www.op.nysed.gov/prof/clt/ for New York state licensing which is accepted in most of the states as the standard license for Medical Technologist. I don't know if your friend meets all the requirements for the License even though he has a M.Sc from Nepal. Besides the degree itself, he also needs to complete many laboratory hours.I'm not sure about the exact hours, so I would suggest you to check in the above link. Besides that ASCP is another standard licensing agency for MTs.They also issue International Medical technologist license.You can find more at Hope this will help.
