I am getting married soon and my wife-to-be is a US citizen. How long does it usually take for me to get a permanent residency status?? Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

If you are illigal here, forget about it...then you have to go back...just getting by marrying a citizen will not grant you a green card here...not any more...get a ligal advice with a immigration lawer....if your status is ok, within 6 month to a year.
