Hi everyone my name is Manima Lama i am currently out of status living in United states. It’s been 2 years i stopped going to school but my visa is still valid till 2021. I need help to come back in status is there anyone who got out of status for 2 years and got their status back. Those two years i was going through a lot of issues and l was supporting my family back home. I do not have Tps too please suggest me something that will help me get back into my status.

Consult lawyer. But since you passed 180 days of illegal stay, it would be very difficult. Find USC guy and marry him. I advise against going asylum route.

@Manima - sorry to hear about your situation. Speaking from what I have seen, it is going to be impossible to get in status. I know a guy who was in your boat and married a US citizen. It's been almost 10 years and still no decision. He has final hearing next January. He regrets and wished he didn't spent the money and time. Suggestion - talk to a very good lawyer and see what they have to say.

My question is: he applied green card through marriage or file asylum?
"10 years no decision" he came in United States legally or illegally
"He has final hearing" sounds like asylum case.

i would guess Kikaso knows a guy who did not enter the country legally from POE, so hes not able to adjust the status even after getting married with a citizen.
